Clean Up Australia Day Feedback

Again thank you to all the residents who signed up the Clean Up, on Sunday 3rd March 2002. The weather was great weather (it did not rain) and plus there was a very low tide in the morning.

We collected a large amount of rubbish in River Park, some parts of the river bank  were covered in rubbish. The good news was we found no syringe needles in the park. 

The Clean Up Australia Council supplied the rubbish bags, gloves, sharps container and the mini-skip bin. The MPA put on a great sausage sizzle with orange juice.

The committee has decided to do it again next year, but we will heavily promote the event next year and have more clean up sites in Mandalay.
