MPA Movie in the Park
Saturday 7th March 2009 at 7 PM
Biambi Yumba Park
MAMMA MIA! The Movie
Starring Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosman and Colin Firth. The
movie is rated PG.
A chance to see the movie again on the big screen under the
stars with family and friends.
The MPA would like to thank the BCC and Cr. Jane Prentice for
sponsoring this event.
The MPA will be putting on a free sausage sizzle before the
film. BYO drinks and we ask that you take all litter back with
you.
This should be a great event, so remember to mark the date in
your diary.
Clean Up Australia Day
This event will take place on Sunday 1 March 2009, at 8am.
Please show your support by attending and registering at River
Park.
Every year local residents collect rubbish along the banks of
River Park on this day. There is always a large amount of
rubbish collected every year.
The MPA will be putting on a free sausage sizzle with orange
juice as a thank you to attendees.

Biambi Yumba Park Upgrade
The MPA discussed with Cr. Jane Prentice, a new playground
and toilet facility for Biambi Yamba Park. Cr. Prentice will put
in a submission to allocate funding for this project in BCC
2009/2010 budget.
Picnic in the Park
The MPA would like to thank Cr. Jane Prentice and Cathy
Lammie for their sponsorship of Picnic in the Park last year.
The band and children entertainers were all first class. Without
their support the MPA could not stage this fantastic local
event.
MPA Membership Competition
The prize was won by the Ephraums Family at Mandalay Street,
congratulations.
MPA Annual General Meeting
Just a reminder that the MPA AGM will be held in late March.
We are still waiting to confirm the date and the invited guests.
We ask all Mandalay residents to attend and show their support
for the MPA.
Full details about the AGM will be in the March 2009 newsletter.
